Up in the New River Gorge in southern West Virginia, Fayette County you may find the Babcock State Park and therein the Glade Creek Grist Mill, The mill is a recreation made with parts of several mills that once dotted the state, If you have a chance, go and visit it, what a wonderful moment I enjoyed in a late afternoon, resting in the rocks at the river edge, caught by the serenity of the moment and the timeless scene, with the mill caressing the river with its turning wheel.

When you enter Jericho in Vermont you can’t miss the Chittenden Mill “Old Red Mill” and go to the bridge and enjoy the rushing waters going through the imposing rocks and contrasting with the lane disappearing in the forest and the beautiful brick mill. On entering the mill you will find the snowflake collection of photographs taken by Wilson Bentley taken as early as 1885
In Palouse country found this ranch with a small herd of pasting horses, where I could spot some Palouse horses or Appaloosa, originally bred by the Nez Perce tribe in the Northwest of the country
